DESCRIPTION
The task from The Presets was to create additional content for their song Tools Down with the phrase "Let it out". This additional content will be used in the video for a forthcoming remix of the song on screens at their live performances, for social media posts and merchandising items.
The Presets have been recognised worldwide for their dynamic live performances and wanted fresh artwork to capture a sense of fun and excitement.
Feel the beat of life!
I had a lot of fun sketching and creating the content for this project. The creative brief was open to experiment and didn't need to match any previously existing content. After brainstorming and rough sketching I have decided on the strongest illustrations which will work for different media content and platforms. One of my favourite parts of every project is working on the colour palette and this colour combination really brought it to life.
My main goal was to make sure this additional content takes a fresh direction but still captures the theme of the song. The Presets have a really strong fans base, their audience are young and independent people always ready to have some fun. I have created this main character with little bit of a nostalgic hippie feel which always remains me this era of fun and carefree people.
